Madam, I should like to express our gratitude to the Rotary Club of Ross-on-Wye for their generous donation to our fund-raising society, Papyrus-in-the-Marches which raises funds solely for the charity Papyrus (prevention of young suicide)
Our normally vibrant son killed himself ten years ago while suffering from depression. The loss to family and friends is incalculable. With most of us feeling the pinch on our finances and with so many new high profile charities around, raising the money to fund our Hopeline becomes increasingly difficult so donations such as this are invaluable. There are a lot of youngsters out there who need our help.
Thank you too to Rotary for the introduction to Quentin Letts who kindly agreed to give a post-election talk for PiMs at Upton Bishop VH at 7.30pm Friday June 25th. I hope those of you who heard him speak for the Rotary Club at the Chase last year will welcome the chance to hear more anecdotes in his witty style. Tickets available from 01989 769581
Tessa Lysaght of Ross Books will kindly organise a book-signing after the talk.
Stephanie Lyth-Lawley, chairman Papyrus-in-the-Marches, Glewstone
