More than 300 children, some accompanied by their parents and friends took part in a Walk or Run for Life at Ashfield Park School on Friday, May 27th.
Mrs Owens, a Year 4 teacher and PE co-ordinator at the school, organised the event. She said it was an opportunity for every child to take part and there was no pressure on running the full distance. Key stage 1 children had to walk 1km and Key stage 2 were completing 2km, every child was presented with a medal for taking part. The school hopes to raise £100s with their sponsorship.
