The audience at Kings Caple Primary Academy recently thoroughly enjoyed the annual Christmas show, when the children re-enacted the story of how the carol ‘Silent Night’ was first devised.
They learnt how the carol was written by a gentleman in Victorian Austria and the manuscript was discovered in a church years later after mice nibbled through the bellows.
All the pupils had great fun singing, acting and dancing, and their Austrian costumes were fantastic.
Sarah Dean, one of the parents, said: “It was a lovely show, the best choreographed and performed show we’ve ever had at school.”
Kings Caple School is particularly grateful to parent, Gareth Watkins, who provided the lights and sound for the show.
