The annual exhibition of Art and Design & Technology work at John Kyrle High School is always of an extremely high standard and this year was no exception.
The work from Art, Textiles, Food Technology, Graphics, and Resistant Materials showed the dedication, creativity and hard work that the students from both GCSE and A Level have put into their designs.
Work included amazing storage solutions, projects featuring lights as well as delicate ceramics and imaginative textile creations.
Refreshments with a Midsummers Night Dream theme were served from a booth decorated with fairy lights and fresh flowers.
It was particularly interesting to see the development of students taking GCSE courses compared to those at AS and A level.
Head of Technology Kath Stone-Fewings said, “The exhibition is an annual opportunity to celebrate the achievement of the students who have, yet again, been a credit to the school and have helped John Kyrle maintain its excellent reputation.”
Headteacher Nigel Griffiths commented on how impressed he was with the consistency of the work and he has been contacted by a number of parents, visitors and governors who were all equally impressed.
