The pupils at St Joseph’s RC Primary School, Ross-on-Wye, launched ‘Roald Dahl Week’ on Monday, September 9th.

Throughout the week each class enjoyed reading a famous Dahl classic, as well as completing lots of cross curricular activities linked to their story.

On Friday the children celebrated ‘Dahlicious Dress Up Day’, where the children came to school dressed up as their favourite character, which included Oompa Loompas and Willy Wonka from Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.

Children were also inspired by stories like The Witches, Matilda and The BFG.

Headteacher, Hayley Francis told the Ross Gazette: “This themed week was a huge success and the Year 3 and 4 pupils are looking forward to visiting the famous Roald Dahl Museum later on in the term.”See this week’s paper for more stories like this, available in shops and as a Digital Edition now.
