Parents urged to take action as the deadline for primary school applications is fast approaching, with the deadline just over a week away, Herefordshire Council is reminding parents that time is running out to apply for their child’s primary school place.

Parents are urged to apply for primary school reception classes in Herefordshire, for children who turn five between September 2020 and August 2021 (those born between September 1st, 2015 and August 31st, 2016).

You must still apply for a reception class place, even if you already have a place in the nursery associated with your preferred school.

For parents or carers who are unable to apply online, a paper application form can be requested from the council’s school admissions team on 01432 260926 / 261574 or email [email protected]

The closing date for all primary school reception class applications is midnight on Wednesday, January 15th 2020.

Late applications may result in your child not being offered a place in your preferred school.
