Ross-born Suzy Starlite is set to make a triumphant return to her hometown with an electrifying concert. The award-winning duo, Starlite & Campbell, have announced the release of their new rock album 'Starlite. One' on 1st September 2023. To celebrate, they are embarking on a 14-day UK headline tour, culminating in a special homecoming concert in Ross-on-Wye on Saturday 30th September 2023.
Suzy Starlite, who grew up in Ross as the daughter of the well-respected agricultural engineer Rolie Morris and his wife Margaret, expressed her excitement about the upcoming concert. "Playing in Ross is always special for me," she said. "This homecoming concert at the Corn Exchange will be extra special as it's the first time I'll be playing in Ross town itself. The support from old school friends and relatives has been fantastic! It’s a real honour to come home and share a night of music together with everyone.”
Starlite & Campbell, comprising Suzy and her husband Simon Campbell, have already made waves in the music industry with their two award-winning Live! albums. Their new album promises to be just as exciting, with the duo being joined by Hugo Danin, one of Europe's finest drummers.
Nina Jackson, Venue Manager at Half Moon in Putney, London, praised the duo, saying, "Starlite & Campbell are a stunning live band who have the most amazing energy both on and off stage!”
The band has received extensive international radio play, including on BBC Radio 2, and has charted in the top 10 in the UK, Australia, The Netherlands, and the United States. With over 100 four and five-star reviews worldwide, they have headlined festivals across the globe.
Tickets for the Ross Corn Exchange concert on Saturday 30th September 2023 are priced at £15 and can be purchased online from Vidler Hospitality.
