THE local Welsh 'Sgwrs' group will be hosting its monthly coffee morning, celebrating St Davids Day, at St Mary's Church this Saturday, March 8.

Some of the regular members of the group will be dressed in Welsh costume to celebrate the recent patron saint of Wales Day, which fell on Sunday, March 1.

Local harpist Ruth Cartledge will be entertaining customers by performing a variety of traditional Welsh music throughout the morning where there will be plenty of coffee, tea and cakes on offer and after last year’s event, there may well be some singing as well.

The coffee morning runs between 10.30am and noon.
