Friends and supporters of The Music Pool, Herefordshire’s Community Music Charity, joined together at Broxwood Court recently.
Courtesy of Richard Snead-Cox and Mike & Anne Allen, guests attended to hear Major General Arthur Denaro CBE DL speak of his eminent life and career in the British Army. The talk was entitled ‘Not as A Duty Only’ and was greatly enjoyed by all. It was in parts, understandably, a very moving discourse.
The event was a resounding success and raised almost £3,400 in much needed funds for The Music Pool.
The Music Pool is Herefordshire’s community music charity, supporting local communities with the power of music. In 2016 the charity reached 6,000 people of all ages, abilities and disabilities, with 1,300 workshops and events, making a huge impact on lives, skills and wellbeing. In particular, the charity aims to help those least able to take part because of disability, financial hardship or social isolation.

This small but incredible charity needs support to raise vital funds to enable them to reach more communities with more music in the future.
