This year add a little Forest magic to your celebrations and visit Dean Heritage Centre to enjoy a variety of Christmas activities in a beautiful Forest setting.

On the weekend of December 15th and 16th Father Christmas will be spending some time in the cosy Forester’s Cottage. He can be found in the homely kitchen keeping warm by the range fire and of course he will have gifts for all the children who visit him. It will be an ideal opportunity to make sure all letters and requests for Christmas presents are given to the great man himself before Christmas Eve.

Visit the craft hut to make something wonderful with local artists, Amanda Cox and Jayme Lee Cooper, or create something festive from the selection of craft materials on the craft table. Explore the galleries to look for missing presents from Father Christmas’s sack and visit the Gruffalo’s Child who has returned to visit the Gruffalo once again.

On Sunday, December 16th at 2pm the Treble Makers Choir will be singing Christmas songs to get you in the festive spirit. Everything is included in the entrance price and there is no need to book. The Centre opens at 10am and you can visit Father Christmas between 11am and 3pm.

While you are here take time to enjoy the brand new Creates Gallery and Coffee shop. You will find incredible art and sculptures in an exhibition put together by Creates Gallery and you can purchase excellent light snacks and refreshment in our café overlooking the Mill pond. The new look gift shop is packed with great products and is an ideal opportunity to shop for a Christmas gift that is a little different. They look forward to welcoming you to the Dean Heritage Centre and would like to wish you a very merry Christmas.
