The Bridstow Village Hall Committee hosted another Community Lunch on Saturday 1st December.

Every year the Committee cooks for 50 local residents who pay £8 for two delicious courses accompanied by a glass of wine.

There was a wonderful atmosphere, and the hall looked beautiful with the Christmas decorations and lovely table centre-pieces donated by Betty Beddows, who had to miss the lunch due to her husband’s recent operation.

Forty-six hungry visitors chose from Beef and Ale casserole, Chicken and Ham Pie and Fish Pie to name a few. The desserts were as popular as ever, the Bread and Butter Puddings and Pavlovas the stars of the show.

Some fantastic raffle prizes which had been donated were won, then guests helped themselves to seconds, and everyone had a wonderful time.

The organisers are very grateful to everyone who helped out especially Linda’s mum and Sydney.
