THE site of an old saw works that was wrecked by fire is up for sale as a commercial opportunity.

Spurside Saw Works at the Downs is just off the M50/A449 roundabout on the outskirts of Ross and has established commercial use and covers more than 2000 sq ft on a level site, say selling agents Morris & Russell.

It is for sale by informal tender with a guide price of £70,000-£75,000, with the deadline 12 noon on Friday, August 29.

Morris & Russell say: “The former Old Saw Works comprised two buildings, the one a concrete fabrication and the other timber, but a fire ripped through the premises some time ago and no remedial works have been undertaken.

“It is in need of demolishing and rebuilding.”
