There has been a rise in incidents of fly-tipping around the town, especially around the recycling bins at the Red Meadow car park, near the new Aldi store.

Old books, clothes, bottles and other recyclable rubbish have been strewn around the bins for more than a week.

The rise in fly-tipping is believed to be the result of residents forgetting a change in rubbish collection days.

Ross Town councillors Chris Bartrum and Richard Mayo say they have been chasing the Council's Community Protection Team for several days. Full report in this week's Gazette.
