The Friends of Ross Community Hospital once again dug into their fundraising proceeds to buy a new piece of equipment for the hospital.

Last Thursday, February 11th they visited the rehabilitation unit to see their latest purchase in action.

Patient, Sheila Jay, demonstrated, with physiotherapists, how the Quickmove could help patients of all ages and all abilities to develop their sitting to standing skills.

Judy Sleeman said: "This bridges the gap between patients who need hoists and those who can almost stand up themselves."

This is the first Quickmove the hospital has had and Julie added that it would be great to have one on the ward as well as in the unit. The Friends said they would discuss it at their next meeting.
