Two Ross Town Councillors, Hannah Lerego and Caroline Bennett, presented a cheque for £973 to St Michael’s Hospice on Thursday, January 14th.
The money was raised during the Ross-on-Wye Christmas Fayre, which took place on November 29th. Cllrs Lerego and Bennett, who are on the Council’s Events committee, arranged the Fayre alongside another Ross Town Councillor, Craig Morgan.
Cllr Lerego said:?“St Michael’s Hospice has been there for my family, and we all wanted to support The Ross-on-Wye Mayor’s Charity of the Year.”
Craft stalls, Santa, his two reindeer and a special guest appearance from the Beefy Boys drew in the crowds, despite the rain, which helped raise funds for the Hospice.
A spokesperson for St Michael’s Hospice said:?“Thank you, Hannah and Caroline, and to all the people who supported your event.”
