The national protected Wye Valley Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB) has produced a draft Consultative Management Plan covering 2009 to 2014 and is inviting interested organisations and individuals to comment on the content.
The plan has taken many months of intensive work and lays out the aims for managing the internationally important landscape for the next five years. It is produced on behalf of the constituent local authorities in accordance with Section 89 of the Countryside and Rights of Way Act 2000.
"It is vital that we get feedback on the draft document from the residents and organisations within the Wye Valley AONB," said Andrew Blake, Wye Valley AONB Officer. "We aim to work in partnership to effectively conserve and enhance this wonderful landscape."
The period of consultation is from Monday, November 3rd until Friday, January 9th and the draft plan is available as a pdf from the website http://www.wyevalleyaonb.org.uk">www.wyevalleyaonb.org.uk together with a comment form and statistical data. It can also be accessed at Swan House and Ross Library.
