Members of the local community and invited guests were treated to an evening of top-quality entertainment to celebrate the opening weekend of Labels Shopping’s luxurious new space, The Gateway, a brand-new space for films, talks, and much more.

Free Radio presenter, Hursty, hosted the evening, on Thursday, November 1st, speaking to sporting legend turned entrepreneur, Phil Vickery. They talked about the former England player’s fascinating life and career, from winning the 2003 Rugby World Cup, to building his successful lifestyle brand Raging Bull.

Storm Troopers took over the space on Friday for a viewing of Star Wars: A Force Awakens, while Saturday night saw guests transported to Adele: Live at the Royal Albert Hall.

Over the three nights, guests were given a taste of what to expect from the new luxurious space, including a selection of delicious canapes and prosecco from the fully licensed bar, featuring an array of locally sourced ciders, spirits and soft drinks.

The Gateway will be showcasing a variety of screenings in the coming months, including box office phenomenon The Greatest Showman, and everyone’s festive favourite, Love Actually. Guests will also have the opportunity to view live concerts and performances, including a live streaming of The Nutcracker from the Royal Opera House.

At only £9 for an adult ticket, The Gateway promises to be an affordable night out for all the family, and an amazing new venture for the store. Guests can also enjoy a pre-show meal from 5pm.

Labels founder, Angie, said: “We’re absolutely thrilled to be launching The Gateway, and can’t wait to welcome everyone to the new space. For us, it’s about giving back to the customers who have supported Labels Shopping over the last 20 years.”
