During the winter months, Ross Cricket Club benefited from two generous donations from Ross Town Council and the Vitruvian Freemasons Lodge, which enabled the purchase of a new boundary rope and storage trolley.
This welcome addition to the club equipment will benefit all sides playing at The Park in the Marches Divisions 1 and 3 and the Junior sides within the Hereford Youth League. The new rope enhances what is already one of the finest cricket locations in the county and will surely be well received by the representative county sides when they also play at The Park this coming season.
On Thursday, May 3rd, a presentation was made by Peter Dun (Worshipful Master of Vitruvian Lodge) and Nigel Gibbs (Mayor of Ross) to mark the official handing over of the equipment purchased by the generous donations.
This was gratefully received by Jack Donovan (Club Captain), Stuart Mair (Chairman), Jim Lewis (Club Secretary), Clive Jones (Head Coach and Groundsman), Nigel Donovan (Committee Member and 1st XI Scorer) and Chloe Tingle (U15s and 1st XI player).
