Madam, I wanted to write and congratulate the Association of Ross Traders, the Town Council and all those involved in organising the Christmas Shopping day on Sunday in town.
It was a great day. There was a huge number of promotions by different shops, and a terrific family atmosphere, sustained all the way through to the prize draw in the market place.
I took the opportunity to walk right round and to talk to as many traders as possible. And as I went, I was reminded of what a gorgeous town Ross-on-Wye is, and how much it has to offer visitors.
Of course there are things we can do to make it even better. But as the recent mystery shopper survey reminded us, Ross can compete with anywhere in the UK. The town has a huge amount going for it already. The first thing we need to do is to shout more about it.
