The people of Goodrich recently staged a Flower Festival on the theme of Village Life. Contributions were made by the cricket, table tennis, tennis, arts, Pilates clubs as well as the Ladies Afternoon Club, the Whitchurch Floral and Woolhope clubs, Ladies Guild, Roaring Megs choir, the village hall committee and the Coppett Hill Trust. Everyone commented on how much thought, imagination and expense had gone into the displays.

A successful Wine Preview was held on the opening night, organised by Caroline Tarlton. Many others gave up hours of their time to run the raffle over four days and to ensure there was a constant supply of tea, coffee and home made cake.

The final total was a £1000 but, even more importantly, there was a wonderful community spirit and everyone involved agreed it was enjoyable and fun.
