Dear Editor,

As you know we held a function to celebrate The Queen’s 90th birthday on the Millennium Green at Tump Lane, Much Birch on June 11th. Despite a few little snags it was an amazingly successful day.

We raised a lot of money and we, the committee, have decided to donate the total of £850 to the following charitable organisations; The Kings Thorn Newsletter £100, The Wormelow Hundred (the church magazine) £100, The Millennium Green insurance fund £100, The Macmillan Renton Unit, Hereford £100, St Michael’s Hospice, Hereford £100, the Air Ambulance £100, Breast Cancer Haven, Hereford £100, Dore Community Transport £50, Much Birch Hall £50 and Much Birch Church £50.

We would like to express our grateful thanks to all those who took part in organising and running this event, and to all those that turned up to make it such a grand day.

Special thanks to the Fire Service, the Army and the Police for their support and involvement
