Natalie Morgan-Dew, who teaches dance at her Ross-on-Wye studio, Mizz Twisted Cherry, picked up a National Happiness Award at a ceremony recently.

Natalie won the happiest workplace person after being nominated by her husband, Ben Dew, and her students.

Natalie told the Ross Gazette that the evening, which was held in Manchester at Media City UK, was wonderful.

She said: “To make the top three was an honour and achievement in itself but to actually win at national level was amazing. Natalie who was joined by her husband, Ben, daughter, Ophelia, and Competitive Pole doubles partner, Jessica Watts, added: “I feel stuff like this really makes our small town stand up and get noticed on a national scale so I was overjoyed at the news.”

As part of the prize Natalie received vouchers to spend as she wished. She decided to use part for her daughter and the rest went on a pizza night for all her students to say thank you for nominating her.
