Last year the Ross Gazette headed the campaign for the purchase of a Falklands memorial bench to be placed in the town.

The bench has now been purchased by the Ross Branch of the Royal British Legion, and is ready to be dedicated at a special ceremony on April 14th at the Market Place.

Unfortunately due to planned works at the Market House this has meant that the bench is unable to be installed on the Market apron until the work is completed, so it will be temporarily sited at the Prospect.

As this bench was funded for by the generous public the Ross RBL and the Ross Gazette would like reader’s views on where the bench should be permanently placed.

Do you feel you would like to see the bench on the area by the Market Place or do you think the Prospect should be made its permanent home?
