Dr Gary Marlowe, an NHS Doctor and Gemma Dean, UNISON Branch Secretary will be the speakers at a meeting organised by the Hereford and South Herefordshire Labour party on Friday, January 13th. The meeting will take place at 7.30pm at the Larruperz Centre, Grammar School Close, Ross-on-Wye.

Dr Gary Marlowe trained at St Bartholomew’s Medical school and has been working as a GP in City and Hackney for the last 24 years, apart from a brief hiatus in Wales and Gloucester which helped broaden his perspective. Dr Marlowe is Chair of the London Regional Council of the British Medical Association (BMA) and actively campaigns for an NHS that holds true to its founding principles. He is the clinical lead for the Planned Care Programme Board and ultimately believes that patient-centric trust and collaboration in the professionalism of the health service across both primary and secondary care will deliver the best and most cost-effective care. He is a member of the NHS City & Hackney Clinical Commissioning Group.

The meeting is being devoted to Health and Social Care due to the concerns raised by members of the public at the party’s campaign stall in Hereford High Town on November 26th.
