A young man, originally from Ross-on-Wye, but who now lives in Lhoumois in France, is appealing for donations online, via GoGetFunding, to help pay for an innovative new treatment to reduce his brain tumour, which is inoperable.
30-year-old Kendrick Hein was diagnosed with a brain tumour in June, this year. The official name for it is Glioblastoma Multiforme Grade 4. The tumour is inoperable; it is located on the part of the brain that affects Kendrick’s motor skills.
Kendrick’s life expectancy depends on how fast the tumour grows. In June, when he was initially diagnosed, it was two centimetres in length. By September, it had grown to five centimetres.
There is hope for Kendrick. He has been in contact with the Hallwang Clinic in Germany, which is a Private Oncology Clinic.
A friend from Ross, Edward Bundy, who has kept in touch with Kendrick from when he lived near Ashfield Park, told the Ross Gazette that they were Sea Cadets together.
