The petition campaigning against the closure of the Ross-on-Wye Minor Injuries Unit has gathered 1,100 signatures. Councillor Chris Bartrum is currently aiming to get 1,500 signatures. The Wye Valley NHS Trust is closing the Minor Injury Unit at Ross Community Hospital for five months from December. Cllr Bartrum said: “This means distress and inconvenience for Ross and the surrounding area.” There are also paper copies of the petition around the town including at the Gazette office.
