Morgan Baynham-Williams, an athlete from Ross Rowing Club needs help so that she can make the most of the opportunities to row for her country.

Ross Rowing Club is supporting Morgan, their most successful club graduate, Oxford Boat Race Winner, top Leander cox and a wonderful example of women in sport, in her bid to break into the Senior Great Britain Rowing Team training for the Olympic games in Tokyo 2020.

They have set up a My Donate page to help her raise the money to get to Shanghai this summer to race for Great Britain in the World University Rowing Championships

The World University Rowing Championships, which are taking place later this month in Shanghai, are a huge stepping stone for senior rowers hoping to break into Great Britain’s Senior team who train for the Olympics. As part of her trialling development, Morgan is currently competing for her Olympic opportunity, and is excited to be a part of this international racing opportunity. Sadly, without the funds, Morgan will be unable to go.

Though Great Britain Rowing have donated £400 towards the cost, Morgan is hoping to raise a further £1,700 to see her dream of competing in Shanghai at the World University Rowing Championships come true, and wishes to reach out to Ross’ readers for anybody who can help.

Morgan will be back in Ross-on-Wye for the Regatta which takes place over the August bank holiday weekend, and will continue to train in anticipation of the Championships.
