Herefordshire Council is working with local organisations to resettle up to 60 Syrian refugees, approximately 18 families. If you wish to get involved and help support refugees in Herefordshire, they are hoping for donations of several items.

The council is looking for a range of different household items to help furnish accommodation. Things such as crockery, cutlery, bedding and towels are all needed.

Interpreters who can speak Arabic and Kurdish will also be needed, but the Council won’t know which languages the refugees speak until approximately six weeks before their arrival.

If you wish to volunteer as an interpreter, please contact the Herefordshire Language network at [email protected] or visit www.herefordshire.gov.UK/language.
