HEREFORDSHIRE Council is continuing to invest in the county’s roads, with a planned programme of resurfacing works taking place throughout September.

The council is investing an additional £13.5 million into the county’s highway network in the financial year 2025/26.

The latest improvement works planned for September include the B4234, Walford Road in Ross-on-Wye along with the town’s Copse Cross Street and Brookend Street.

Cllr Barry Durkin, cabinet member for roads, said: “Investing in our county’s roads is a top priority, and the ongoing resurfacing work will help to improve the resilience of the network, deliver better journeys and prepare our highways for the winter months.

“This is the latest element of our additional investment of £13.5 million for works across the county in 2025/26, which builds on our investment of £8 million last year.”
