Local MP Jesse Norman has severely criticised the Highways Agency for failing to carry out planned improvements to the A49.
The MP has added his weight to the campaign organised by Parish Councillors and local residents and has written to Mike Penning, the Under-Secretary of State at the Ministry of Transport, to report the failure and request an immediate investigation.
Several years ago campaigners for a speed limit or safe crossings on the A49 at Bridstow were told that the area would not be a priority until there had been a fatal accident. Read the full story in this week's Gazette.
