The appearance of the empty shop between the Peacocks store in Broad Street, Ross-on-Wye, and the entrance to Croft Court will have to be improved.

Herefordshire Council found that the condition of the building’s appearance caused harm to the amenity of the neighbourhood. The Council issued a Section 215 notice to the owner of the building requiring it to be ‘adequately improved’, however this had not yet been served.

The notice requires the window frames and door screening to be repainted and several tiles will have to be replaced.

The Council has issued the notice stating that the building should no longer be ’detrimental to the amenity of the neighbourhood.’
