Andrew Atkinson joins Ross Town Council as the youngest Councillor, by over 50 years compared to several of the other Councillors. He is just 26 years old and a very popular candidate as he polled more votes than any other candidate, not just in these elections but for Ross Town Council since 2003.

The new Town Councillor, who is a Conservative, also won a seat on Herefordshire Council. Andrew told the Gazette he was inspired to stand for local election after meeting Jesse Norman. He said I was very impressed by his campaign and the fact that he got in touch immediatley after I contacted him.

Andrew said that Ross is a beautiful town with many assets and he hopes that he will be able to help Ross make the most of what it has got. He said he is delighted to have been given an opportunity to work for Ross and he also wants to be accountable.
