The CQC said it saw “people were relaxed and there was general chatter.” It also said: “Relatives told us staff were approachable and had good relationships with people that lived there.”
The staff team were praised highly. Inspectors spoke with residents who said staff were “all kind and helpful”. The CQC report described how individuals’ interests were catered for, and how one person was supported to pursue their hobby of horse riding.

Welcoming the CQC’s report, acting service manager Kirsty Priest said: “We are very pleased with this report. It reflects the hard work the team has put into making Woodpecker Lodge a happy place.”
Sarah Hughes, CEO of Craegmoor, said: “Woodpecker Lodge is excellent at what it does. It provides a great support environment where the people they support really flourish. The staff team will continue to work hard to ensure that as many opportunities are open to them as possible.”For more information about Woodpecker Lodge visit here
