IT IS looking increasingly likely that John Kyrle High School will become the first school in the county to become an Acadamy under the new rules set out by the coalition government.
The staff and governors are all in favour of the plan and if there is support from parents then the school could become an Acadmey in the new year, winning freedom from local authority control and continuing to strengthen its reputation as an outstanding school.
Nigel Griffiths, Headteacher at John Kyrle High School, has been invited to Downing Street on Wednesday, November 17th to meet with the Prime Minister to discuss the school's possible conversion to New Academy Status.
