TV presenter and Top Gear star Richard Hammond and his wife, columnist Mindy Hammond have agreed to act as ambassadors for the Midlands Air Ambulance after witnessing the specialist care given to Mindy's godson, Jobe Taylor-Davies.

Jobe was airlifted to Birmingham Children's Hospital by the Midlands Air Ambulance, in September 2012, after he was knocked unconscious by a horse at his home in Brampton Abbotts.Placed in a coma to stop seizures, doctors at Ross Community Hospital feared the worst for Jobe and he was air-lifted by the Midlands Air Ambulance 60 miles to Birmingham Children's Hospital for emergency treatment. The specialist care helped Jobe make a full recovery.

Jobe's family organised a fantastic family fun day at their home which raised thousands for the Midlands Air Ambulance Charity. They have also raised many thousands of pounds for the Birmingham Children's Hospital

Earlier this year, Mindy, who lives with Richard and their daughters at Bollitree Castle, Weston under Penyard, hosted the 'Walking On Air' ball, with Caron Scudamore, to raise funds for both charities in celebration of Jobe's recovery.
