Youth Theatre at The Courtyard Centre for the Arts has, over the past 10 years, developed an impressive reputation for its quality of teaching and community involvement. Now there is a chance for young people to join one of the biggest youth theatres in the country.
The Courtyard Youth Theatre prides itself on offering an opportunity for children between three and 24 to experience and participate in theatre. It has a staggering 400 members and over the last 10 years has expanded to include groups in Ledbury, Vowchurch and Kington. This year the Youth Theatre was given national recognition for its hard work and commitment when it was chosen from hundreds to take part in a national research project that will examine the artistic standards within youth theatres.
Getting involved in the Youth Theatre is a great way to meet new people and not only develop your drama skills, but skills that you will be able to take with you throughout life. If you fancy joining there are limited places available in the following classes: Courtyard Kids - Reception (Year 2), Year 7 Thursday at 4 - 5pm and Saturday 1.45 - 2.45pm and Senior Youth Theatre (16 -17 yr olds).
All you need to do is visit the education section on the website at http://www.courtyard.org.uk">www.courtyard.org.uk and fill in the application form. Once you have returned it you will be contacted with term details. If your year isn't listed above you can still join the waiting list.
