MADAM, BLAKE'S Garden in Wye Street are coming along well in the Ross-in-Bloom Projects for 2011.
If anyone would like to join in the Sunday Morning Working parties they will now be held approximately every two weeks.
The next one will be on May 1st followed by May15th.
The group meets around 10.15am and works through as much time as they wish until approximately 12.30pm.
If anyone wishes to do some work there between times they are most welcome to do so but need to check with Margaret Lucas first about which section needs to be tackled next.
The Pigs Alley Project is also progressing well. Most of the flat painting is being completed at the moment but the coordinators are in urgent need of people who are prepared to design and/or paint the details of individual pigs.
If you are interested in taking part with this part of the project again please contact Margaret who will take your details and pass them on to the coordinator.
It is hoped that each individual pig painted will eventually be sponsored by local people. Ross-in-Bloom will be in contact with possible sponsors at a later time, once they know whether there are enough artists and designers around to carry this out.
The Man of Ross Inn is holding lots of fund raising events at the moment for the Blake's Gardens so if you want to take part please do contact the landlord during opening hours. Ross-in-Bloom are very grateful for his generosity in doing this.
