IT’S time for eyes down for a full house with Book Bingo at Ross-on-Wye Library.
Wondering what to read next? Looking for a fun and friendly reading challenge?
Adults across the county are being invited to take part in the new Book Bingo challenge, launching this month at Herefordshire Libraries which are hosting a series of special events, with rounds of classic bingo, as well as special book‑themed games, featuring book covers for an extra twist.
There will be plenty of chances to shout ‘Bingo’, win prizes and have fun in a relaxed, welcoming setting. The session being held at Ross Library is on Wednesday, May 20 at 7pm.
Book Bingo encourages adult readers to broaden their reading habits by completing a specially designed bingo card featuring six reading categories.
Participants can read or listen to a book in each category, crossing them off as they go. Once all six categories are completed, readers can collect a special prize.
The challenge is completely free to all adults and has been designed to be inclusive and accessible, making it easy for everyone to take part and enjoy the wellbeing benefits of reading and there’s no need to book.
To participate and celebrate the launch of Book Bingo, places must be booked online via the Herefordshire Libraries online event page via eventbrite.co.uk.
Book Bingo forms part of Herefordshire Libraries offer during the National Year of Reading, supporting its aim to inspire more adults to engage with books and experience the wellbeing benefits of reading.
It is hoped that the scheme will encourage players to read different genres for their own personal reading pleasure and join in with the social experience where people can play with others at the event.
