Ross Gazette reader Kevin Marsh commented on facebook about the call for volunteer dog wardens.

He wrote: "I would like to volunteer my dog to be a warden. He would quickly get to the bottom of the problem, he has already been vetted, and, like most people in low level authority, he already has a chip on or in his shoulder.

"If successful, I'm sure he would sink his teeth into the post with relish, as indeed he does with the postman. And yes, I really do think he would take a 'lead' in local issues, many of which have issued from him."
