In a quiet corner of Bridstow, in a cosy basket by an Aga, lives a very special cat, Kippurr, who has just reached the age of 25!
Her owner, Debbie Ansell has had Kippurr since she was 26 and bought her first house. They came to live in Ross ten years ago and took to the country life with relish.
Kippurr has several brothers and sisters but she still rules the roost. She did have a twin called Treacle, who died when she was 16 due to heart failure. Debbie had got Treacle and Kippurr as eight week old kittens and all the big events of her adult life are linked to them.
Debbie is very grateful to Chaseview Veterinary practice who look after her when she is very rarely poorly. She is especially grateful to Nick and Nigel, the vets there.
Debbie told The Ross Gazette: "She still likes to play and if she met a mouse older than herself I think she could 'have it'!"
