Two men escaped with a briefcase full of cash after a daring robbery outside Morrisons supermarket earlier this morning, Friday, October 24th.

At 6.45am police were called to the supermarket car park. Two men had been robbed whilst working on the ATM cash machine. The Gazette understands that they were filling the machine at the time of the robbery.

The men were physically assaulted by two men and sustained minor injuries.One man is described as white, mid 30s, 6ft tall and stocky, he was wearing dark clothing and a dark, woollen beany hat. there is no description available yet of the second man.

They escaped with the briefcase containing about £40,000 in a white car. The make and model of the car is not clear but inquiries are ongoing to trace the vehicle.Anyone with any information about this incident is asked to contact West Mercia Police on 101.
