It is somewhat sad to read in this week’s Ross Gazette of the verbal abuse directed to workmen carrying out works on the A49.

This vitriol should be directed maybe to those who lobbied to a high level not to have night time workings, due to the noise keeping them awake.

Those now trying to pass the blame for this ie parish council etc should be aware this level of local government have no powers to authorise this kind of expenditure
