I find it very disappointing to read a political diatribe in your Letters to the Editor column with only a ‘Name and address supplied’.

At the beginning of the letter there was a very conciliatory tone, but as the missive continued, it became apparent which side of the argument the letter writer had sympathies with.

To raise the issue that “it gives us time to fight the Fascism and Islamophobia that is rising in Britain” with a legitimate vote on leaving Europe, I find abhorrent.

Perhaps the letter writer will stand up for their beliefs and put a name to their comments.
