Dear Editor

We have heard that the Friday Luncheon Club, which has been meeting, we have been reliably informed for 30 years, is likely to close at the end of the present year as the committee who have been running it for many years wish to retire.

From our selfish point of view we are very upset, disappointed and saddened, as the Club means so much to us. It gives us so much pleasure, meeting old Rossian friends, meeting new people and making them feel welcome. Friendship and companionship means so much to us, it is also nice to have a hot lunch served in such a friendly setting.

Are there any helpful, friendly people who would be willing to take over the running of the Luncheon Club?

We are very appreciative members and thank the retiring committee for all their hard work, we wish them many years good health and happiness in the future.

The letter has been signed by 30 members and volunteers at the Luncheon Club
