Local computer expert, Des Auld has been honoured with a special recognition award for his contribution to the computer industry over 43 years.

Des, of Logiplex Solutions Limited, was presented with the award at the sixth Annual Conference of Synaxon Europe’s Leading Computer Buying Group. This was held in the Park Inn Conference Centre at Heathrow.

Derek Jones, the MD of Synaxon, thanked everyone for their efforts and announced that a special recognition award was to be presented to Des Auld for his contribution to the computer industry over 43 years. The award was by way of thanks for his help and guidance given to new group members and for providing business advice to the group over many years.

Des has covered almost every aspect of computing during his career starting as a mainframe engineer, Microcomputer engineer, Systems and Network engineer and finally taking Logiplex Solutions into its prominent position providing IT Systems and Cyber Security services.
