THE?Village of Linton Trust (VoLT) held their second annual Race Night on Saturday, March 4th, at Linton Village Hall, near to Ross-on-Wye.

More than 40 people were in attendance, and they enjoyed a hearty three course meal, which included sausage and mash with minted mixed vegetables, tropical fruit skewers with chocolate dipped strawberries, followed by cheese and biscuits.

Betting on all eight of the sponsored races was brisk, and a good deal of interest was raised by the raffle prizes. These included a decanter of hand blended whisky, aged port, a morning on the gallops, as well as chocolates, biscuits and perfume.

Race sponsors such as Meadow View Landscapes, Green Man Stoves, The Alma Inn and others helped to raise a magnificent sum for the charity and their continued support is much appreciated by the trustees and friends of Village of Linton Trust.
