A YOUNG girl has proved a cut above by having her flowing hair trimmed for charity.

Livia Hole from Ross-on-Wye set out to raise £500 for the Little Princess Trust by losing her locks, but has already made a whopping £1,123.

The youngster said she was cutting her hair and donating it to the Little Princess Trust because she wants to help young people.

Ross Juniors Football Club posted last week: "Livia had her hair cut today and she would like to thank clubs players and parents for all their support in helping her raise a fantastic £1,123 for the Little Princess Trust.

"She’d also like to thank Hillary Clifton from the Green Hill Co. who donated the cut for free. Livia is very happy."

Post online praised her for her efforts, one saying: "Livvy, you’re amazing and so so kind and thoughtful!!! Well done!!! So proud of you xxxxxxx."

The Little Princess Trust (www.littleprincesses.org.uk) provide wigs to children with cancer to restore their confidence and identity.

A charity spokesperson said: "The Trust relies solely on the efforts of enthusiastic community fundraisers, we receive no formal funding."
