Churches in Ross and the local villages have responded generously to the recent appeal on behalf of the Syrian refugees.

Donations to Christian Aid in the Easter period have totalled £1479.35. The Revd Glyn Jenkins, on behalf of the Ross and District Christian Aid Committee said: "This is a splendid response and shows that Churches of all denominations have seen the need to support the relief work. We are in the middle of preparing for Christian Aid Week – May 12th - 18th. This Easter giving has come as an extra encouragement to the many volunteers that will be going from house to house in that week.

Last year over £7000 was given by local residents. We hope that the people of Ross will again show an open and generous response.

Rev Glyn and Mrs Sheila Jenkins, Secretaries of the Ross and District Christian Aid Committee
