THE recent Lea Family Fun Day focused on giving local people a great day out.
Despite being one of the hottest days of the year, the event, organised by the Lea Residents Association, was attended by many local families, who enjoyed the petting zoo, bouncy castles, live music and entertainment fromBritish Heart Foundation’s Mr Hearty.
Numerous trade stands were in attendance selling cakes, biscuits and local crafts along with the Forest of Dean Hedgehog Rescue raising awareness of our spikey friends.
Firefighters from the Ross-on-Wye Fire Service enabling children to appreciate the fire appliance. The Lea Short Mat Bowling Club entertained visitors of all ages. Money raised from the event will go to organisation like the playgroups, the coffee morning crew and the Lea Village Hill.
