Members of the very successful club, which was formerly called the South Herefordshire Cottage Garden Society, have chosen to become an independent club, known as the South Herefordshire Gardening Club, broadening its focus beyond cottage style gardens. This is reflected in the type of gardens that are visited in the summer and the topics delivered by good quality speakers during the autumn and winter months.
In addition to this wide programme, the club organises a very popular gardens holiday every other year. For 2019 the gardens of Dorset are the destination.
What continues from the old society to the new club is the very keen interest in gardens and it’s aim is to promote an interest and skill in gardening and gardens amongst its members.
The club meets monthly at 2pm on the first Saturday of the month (except January). The talks are normally held at Walford Village Hall, near Ross-on-Wye
